ILIAS (LMS) is an open-source Learning Management System managed by the non-profit organization ILIAS open source e-Learning e.V. from Germany, which was created as an independent platform for web-based education and content management. The platform is designed to enable organizations to create, structure, and share educational materials, courses, tests, surveys, and discussion tools within an integrated content repository. LMS supports e-learning standards such as SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, IMS QTI, and others, and can be operated without license fees thanks to its publication under the GNU GPL license. ILIAS includes tools for managing access and roles, collaboration, communication, and tracking user progress through statistics and reports. Thanks to its modular and open structure, the system is used in educational institutions (schools, universities), as well as in companies and public administration for complex teaching and training scenarios.
