Teachable is a platform specializing in the sale of online courses, popular among independent lecturers, coaches, and smaller companies that want to monetize their content. The system offers a drag & drop lesson editor and supports video, audio, text, and quizzes. Payments are handled by built-in gateways (Stripe, PayPal), and there is also an affiliate feature for course creators. Teachable focuses mainly on the B2C model: it builds sales pages, sets up coupons, upselling, and marketing emails. Unfortunately, the system does not support SCORM or xAPI and uses its own format for hosting and content creation.
